Construction Details:

This costume ended up taking me over three months to make. I ended up starting on the rosary and once that was done, finally got around to the difficult task of making and altering the dress, veil and other accessories [even the ones you can't see]. Overall, the costume went over well, however difficulties have made it so that this costume will have to be remade. I didn't use the lightest weight needle on the material, and thus all the seams are falling apart. When I wore it again for Animeland Wasabi in 2009, I had to use mending tape on the seams on the back side of the dress. It, however, ended up making the already-next-to-impossible-to-move-my-arms-in-dress into actually-is-impossible-to-move-my-arms. Since then, I've gotten a new sewing machine [the one I used to make this kept on snagging the material and ultimately ruined the dress even before I discovered the bad seams] that will work better on light-weight fabric.
