Construction Details:

This costume was created when friends suggested we do faerie themed costumes. Along with the costumes we also constructed a large, (working) storybook complete with pictures. Shimery red organza serged onto a deep red textured cotton cut into petal shapes. Then Airbrushed to have the varigated look of red oriental poppies. The wings are airbrushed blue-green organza on copper wire, (which unfortunately do not look at all nice in pictures but are amazing in colour to the human eye). Stiffened poppy hat. Unfortunately you cannot see the poppy fruit which I sclupted nor the stamens that were simulated by using feathers.
