Even Gambit need help sometime, mon ami.
K, so I may have waited too long to as you guys...but here goes.
I'm trying to do Gambit.
(http://www.fightersgeneration.com/chara ... ambit.html)
I have the coat, but that's about it. As for the shirt, I have blue foamies to make the top part of it, only problem is, I can't find the proper magenta color shirt to use! My sewing skills are virtually nonexistant...
Any ideas?

I don't know that you'll find an exact match because color is such a subjective thing, but Hanes makes ladies t-shirts in a color called "Radish" which is similar to magenta. If it's close but too pink, maybe dying it darker/redder/whatever would help. You might also want to look at leotards and swimwear for the color you want.
well it is not really a shirt but a suit the whole thing is conected if you look like in this one
i would find a suit the color then alter it or get one of your friends to do it.

Yeah, well, my boots are prolly gonna be hottopic Demonia specials (knee high combat boots) So, I'm trying something besides the full suit. The full body lycra suit had crossed my mind, but it's a bit late to order one now. (con's in two weeks)
Now I gotta find tight pants to fit in the boots. >.<
(Edit)
Part of the reason I don't want to use a full suit is well...lets face it, I'm not muscular. >.<

for te pants to fit in the boots cut a long triangle out of the pants down the back. then sew it together to make them thin leged

I have a pair of those. belts all over it. i'm in love. -floats away~!- well...i'd say go to walmart, and get some fabric dye. if they don't have the specific color, ask which colors mixed would make that shade, then just get a white shirt and dye it o.oRadical Dreamer wrote:Yeah, well, my boots are prolly gonna be hottopic Demonia specials (knee high combat boots) So, I'm trying something besides the full suit. Looking for new cosplay ideas and new friends! Ohyes.
I don't really think a Wal-Mart employee would know. They would just be like "uh...red?" lol. Seems like non-cosplayers don't understand the true value of accuracy. but you could always experiment. I would think starting off with a pink or red shirt would be easier, though.lolirancar_ririnetto wrote:if they don't have the specific color, ask which colors mixed would make that shade, then just get a white shirt and dye it o.o

If you don't like to sew, Fabric stores sell this stuff called 'No stitch'. It comes in a tube and it holds wicked tight. On some fabrics you don't want to stitch through, it works wonders. No visible seams, and in the words of my mom. "It's idiot proof... so even we can't mess it up."
Hope this helps.
