little... shiny things (like materia)

Post by AdrienneO » Wed Jan 05, 2005 2:43 pm

I've seen lots of people with these things on their costumes, so I figured I'd ask here... I need some of these things to use as materia (from FFVII). They are the same things Darcy used on her hat for Princess Kakyuu:

As you can see, they aren't marbles, they're flat on one side. Does anyone know where I can get these things? And in green? I've seen them in pink and clear at a couple places, but I need green ones. Any suggestions?

Those glass disks are usually located in the floral section in the stores around here (Walmart, Michaels). I don't remember the whole color selection because it's been awhile since I've shopped for them. Another department to try is the section for fish aquarium accessories. They sometimes have glass thingies. You might also try a stained glass shop.

Oh, there is apparently also a product called glass glue that I just saw on a tv craft show the other day. I'd definitely try it the next time I need to stick glass bits because not all glues will work well on glass. ^_^

Yea, they can be used for mosaics and things. Any craft store would have them.
