Construction Details:

The dress is made of a matte casa satin, if I'm remembering correctly. The bodice is lined and understitched (thanks to Dr4yc05, who took pity on me as I was floundering around before the con and scrambling to finish 5 costumes!), there's an invisible zipper up the side (I think, it might be the back....(Read More) It's been a long time), and the sash is just satin ribbon.

Personal Thoughts:

This was made for my friend Volume 3 Cosplay for Anime Banzai 2014! Volume 2 of RWBY was coming out and just a few weeks previously we'd seen their formal outfits, so we decided to make them for the dance at the convention! I made Ruby's for myself and I made Jaune for him! He lost a lot of weight right before the con, so it didn't fit him as well as I'd like.
