Construction Details:

Dress:
The dress is made from micro suede in brown. The dress has no zippers at all. I trimmed the top and arms with bias tape. The bottom has a very fancy lace trim similar to the style in the game. The red bow in the front was red ribbon with wire in it to hold its shape. The white part down the...(Read More) front was inset and is jersey knit.

Top:
The mandarin top is black Lycra. It has a zipper in the back to get my head through the collar. I added lace around the collar and the arms.

Socks:
I found a pair of white cotton/spandex socks and I custom dyed them brown/tan.

Boots:
I had a pair of black lace up boots that looked similar to hers from the game.

Wig:
The wig is a new look ones. I’m not certain which style it was because it was purchased many years ago. It was a color code 2, so deep brown, almost black.

Personal Thoughts:

Let me start with saying I LOVE THIS GAME! It scared the HELL out of me, but it is so great! I played the first one so naturally when Crimson Butterfly was released I was eager to try it. I loved the design of the twins’ outfits and it was a great duo cosplay for my friend and I to do. I chose to be Mayu because she was delicate, fragile and I really felt the pain she was going through. She was heavily dependent on her sister after her injury and she was an easy medium for ghosts to use and posses.
