Construction Details:: The skirt is knife pleated and lined in itself. I used cotton for both the skirt and the collar. The collar I drafted my own pattern for. Personal Thoughts:: I love Highschool of the Dead! Last year when I met WindoftheStars she was wearing Rei and she convinced me to make a Saeko costume. This costume is super comfy! I love my shoes which were only $7 at Savers. I didn't have time to get my wooden bokken sword at my parents' home so I used some wooden anime sword instead. This was my first time making a pleated skirt without a pattern, and the skirt is the second iteration. I will be remaking the skirt (again) as the pleats weren't as deep as I hoped for. All in all I had a lot of fun as Saeko and look forward to wearing this costume again! Of course I had fun with Saeko's makeup as well, she's pretty bad-ass! The wig I didn't quite set the way I wanted at Anime Bonanza, but John Patch and Dwight Garcia wanted a new photoshoot and I was able to fix them for that!

Styling Notes: Epic Cosplay wigs are beautiful but the bangs are super thick. I spent a decent amount of time thinning the bangs and cutting her signature style.
