About this Costume
Construction Details:
I drafted the pattern for the top and used double knit fabric. There are diamond-shaped gussets in the underarms. The double topstitched seams on the sleeves and bust are welt seams. I made one regular and one ripped top.

The pants are cotton stretch twill flatlined with swimsuit lining. I modified a legging pattern to add seams to the front and back of the legs. Leg seams are topstitched with an extra wide twin needle.

The belt is made from 8-10 oz. veg tan leather and has a velcro fastener. Belt greeblies are 3D printed using files by TheJazzyWorkshop on Etsy.

The shin guards is EVA foam covered with stretch faux leather fabric which is glued on with contact cement. The shin guards are secured with leather straps with velcro sewn on.

The belt and greeblies, shin guards, and boots are all painted with Angelus leather paint in a mix of Cream and Sand shades.

The Q2 blaster pistol is 3D printed with files by TheShadowCollective on Etsy. The grip and pommel are printed in wood PLA and finished with a wood stain. The other parts are colored with silver Rub n Buff.

I bought an Episode I droid blaster toy on Ebay to use for the E-5 blaster rifle. I sanded off the logos, covered with Rub n Buff, then repainted black. I then scratched off the black paint in areas for weathering. I also added some dirt weathering with Mehron dirt powder.

The armbands are Sintra, also colored with Rub n Buff. Each armband is made up of seven pieces which are held together with elastic.

The hairpiece is made with wefts from Coscraft. The wefts are glued onto foam curling rods which I then sewed together and attached two combs.

I used a queen size cotton blanket for the cape and hat. The cape has large snap fasteners in back to hold the side wrap parts. The hat has thick interfacing and the veil has a hook to attach to the side of the hat.
