Construction Details:

I used Simplicity S8831 as the base pattern, but modified it heavily, making the sleeves longer and adding overlays. The blue trim and details are mostly made from bias tape, with some embroidery on top.

The Cruxis Crystal is made from mylar covered in gold vinyl and cut with a Cricut Maker. The crystal itself is a resin one I found on Etsy. The whole thing is attached via body tape.

The boot covers are made from satin, which was supposed to given them the kinda floppy look from Colette's concept art, but ended up with them having trouble staying up. I ended up using safety pins to hold them in place, but the edges are still pretty much destroyed from getting caught under my shoes. I plan to remove the cuffs from the boot covers later and attach them to a pair of white boots instead.

Personal Thoughts:

I love how this costume came out! I need to redo the boot covers at some point and I've discovered that I don't love long wigs, but the dress came out exactly the way I want it and I am so proud!
