About this Costume

This is lengthy just warning you (Also I based my cosplay off the manga rather than the anime)
The dress was draped on my dress form and sewn out of a blue satin. The bodice is lined and the skirt has rolled seams to enclose the raw edged. The slits and the hem at the bottom of the skirt are rolled hems. The sleeves are heavily interfaced to make them poofy so they stand up and support the emblems. The white cuffs on the sleeves have foam interfacing to make them the perfect shape and is sewn out of a white gabardine. There are snaps sewn onto the sleeves where the emblems attach. The dress zips up the back. The emblems are made out of EVA foam and are painted gold with Plaid FX paints. They have corresponding snaps glued onto the back to attach to the sleeves.
The corset is made out of a natural linen. It was draped on my dress form and has an interfacing layer on the inside for stability and is lined with satin. The corset zips up the back with a separating zipper. The front buckles are parachute buckles sewn on with tubes of linen.
The white collar is made out of gabardine and was draped on my dress form. It is lined in that same fabric and the collar is stuffed with Polyfil. It closes up the back with hook and bars. The black detailing is pleather that I satin-stitched on and the cross is a charm I bought at Joann.
The green neck harness was draped on my dress form. I sewed them out of 2 layers of green canvas and then topstitched the drawn details in and attached them to my dress with snaps.
The pouches and holsters were drafted out of paper and then sewn out of the same green canvas. They are also lined with green cotton leftover from my Hachiken Cosplay. The large pouches have buckles that attach to black twill tape leftover from my Tanjiro sword. The small pouch has a snap that closes it. The holster has a panel of fabric in the center so it can hold both of my prop guns without them rubbing together and ruining the paint. It closes with a snap and has a piece of black pleather satin-stitched on for decoration. They all snap onto my corset.
The gloves were sewn out of Yaya Han brown distressed pleather. It was not stretchy so it was painstakingly difficult! But it worked out in the end. There is a white band of pleather sewn on the top and the metal plate on the back of the hand is made of EVA Foam painted gold with some gold half spheres glued on. The pieces were right superglued onto my gloves.
I patterned the socks with the duct tape method and sewed them out of a white ribbed spandex with a texture similar to real socks. I satin stitched the black square on top with the same Yaya Han black pleather. I tape them to my legs with fashion tape.
The boots are a pair of cowboy boots actually that I bought off of Amazon. I glued gold half spheres to the upper flaps. I made the toe and harness armor out of EVA Foam and the gold triangle rings out of Cosplayflex. I glued the toe armor to the toe. I made a boot harness out of a felt lined black pleather and glued the front armor to the harness.
The veil was drafted by me and sewn out of the same fabric as the dress. The front seam is finished the same way my skirt slits seams are finished. The whole veil has a rolled hem. The white band in interfaced for stability and rolled over so no raw edges are present. An elastic band is sewn to the edge of the band to keep it on my head.
I pulled the wig into pigtails, styled the pigtails, and cut and styled the bangs.
The guns were made out of EVA Foam and EVA Foam Dowels. They were painted with Plaid FX and the annoying thin orange paint I use for the orange safety tip (good reason though, please paint safety tips on to assure people around you your props are fake, thank you)
The life clock is my favorite part of the cosplay. I made it out of EVA Foam and Cosplayflex. There is a piece of clear plastic in the front and it is hollow on the inside to fit an LED string. I glued a cross on the clear plastic and the back has a piece of real gold leather to cover the opening that can open up to change or remove the batteries and control the light. I put a gold chain around a hook I made out of Cosplayflex in the back to wear it around my neck.
Ok that was a lengthy paragraph I congratulate you for getting to the end - Personal Thoughts:
- This is one of my favorite costumes I have made! Rosette is a character I care very deeply about.

- Styling Notes
- I criss-crossed the back to put the side pigtails in. Then I trimmed the pigtails down to a proper length. I trimmed and fluffed the bangs into that 90s manga style and tried to separate them into sections like her hair but it fell out after a few wears (I use this wig for Misa Amane as well)
- Wig Review
- It was the perfect color and length for Rosette!
