About this Costume

I had this idea for a Rococo Aurora from a dress I found on Etsy by AtelierSaintHonorePL and I honestly had no idea she would turn out so beautifully. I used a pink-to-blue color shift fabric for the petticoat, stomacher, and bodice (which also looks like the same purplish color her mother wears), and overlayed those with a cornflower blue silk organza. I used blue satin taffeta from my first Disney Aurora costume and some pink for the ruffles on my petticoat and added hundreds of hand rolled ribbon roses, hand cut leaves, and pink & blue forget-me-nots along with hundreds of AB rhinestones to the entire outfit. The wig is my original Aurora wig and I styled it up with 15 curls and a mini crown for her 16th birthday. And of course I have my little red cardinal from the movie to represent Prince Philip! I wanted to incorporate so much of the film into this costume and I feel I achieved that goal!
Pattern from Norah Waugh's "Cut of Women's Clothes"
