Construction Details:

This was the first true military jacket I've made AND I had to be all sneaky with fitting it because of being a surprise.
Made of a combination of Twills and Poplin. The Jacket is fully lined with white cotton except for the tails that are lined in red twill like the reference material.
The Jacket closure is hooks/eyes.
The 48 buttons on this coat were plastic clear buttons, spray-painted silver metallic and then sewn on by hand.
The gold trim is biase tape.
The Gold details on the front and back of the collar are hand painted with gold acrylic.
The Shoulder Epaulettes are made of trim fringe and foamie painted gold.
The vest is blue front with red satin backing and lined with red suede.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a surprise costume I made for a friend in college.
The jacket, cape and matching vest are made me.
The gorgeous Oz Belt Buckle and Cape brooch are cast in metal by Wraith.
The pants and boots are bought with and customized with boot tops.
