Construction Details:

Basically the sickle like ends are made out of layers of craft foam and wood. I started off by wrapping a wooded dowel in a thin layer of craft foam, layered three pieces of craft foam, cut the sickle shape and used a dermal to create the blade like edges. Glued the pieces together and secured with smaller piece of craft foam and vinyl strips wrapped down the dowels. Next came painting and weathering the blades and chain. Final step was to connect the sickles with a strip of plastic chain. The chain did get me in trouble at AX because I hadn't accounted for the rule on how far a prop can extend, but cutting the chain in the middle separated it into two valid weapons.

Personal Thoughts:

So with this character since she is master of weapons i decided to that i needed to have some weapons/scrolls otherwise i could consider her complete. This weapon I choose can also work for other ninja based characters so I thought it would be a good choice to make.
