Construction Details:

I really love how simple this dress is and yet how beautiful. The fabric is a Moroccan scale pattern in purple and tan that I designed and had printed on Spoonflower, with the reverse print designed for the inside of the sleeves. The petticoat/underskirt fabric is white cotton that was hand dyed to purple and the lace overlay was also dyed purple. The two moth penannular brooches were 3D printed by Shapeways and painted by me. I got the wig on Ebay and styled it myself.

The costume is actually pretty comfortable and can be worn without a corset since there is boning sewn into the lining. I had a great time getting pictures in our own capitol of DC!
