Construction Details:

The white kimono is hand-painted matte bridal satin, with two layers of lining, over a red kimono also out of matte bridal satin. The obi is poly shantung, again hand-painted with Dye-Na-Flow and water-based silver resist. The obi is supported by a fully boned matching corset. The headdress, bustier, and necklace were sculpted by Kira Masquerade out of foam clay, and the bustier is also reinforced with Thibra.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a joint effort with my friend and teammate Kira Masquerade for the Anime Expo 2019 Masquerade, and is the largest, most complex project I've made to date.
