About this Costume
Construction Details:
I made the dress from Butterick's B6352 pattern, which I already had from the Omelette costume I made last year, but I used the modified version from my Yona cosplay it so that the zipper is in the back. I used a wavy pink ribbon-like trim and black bias tape to create the trim around the neck and sleeves. The dress is made from satin, but the hat is made from duck cloth to make it sturdier, but I tried to match the colors as best as I possibly could. The hat was made using a very slightly modified version of Butterick's B6538 pattern (hat B/C).

For the accessories, the plush upa is made from cheap sheets of felt with buttons for the eyes and nose. It is entirely hand sewn, including the embroidered mouth. The "metal" upa was 3D-printed at my local library using a design I downloaded, which was made by spope on Thingiverse. Then I cleaned up the figure using an Xacto knife to cut the extra plastic. Finally, I painted it with silver paint and a silver-black paint mix for the darker parts. I had to hot glue one of its legs in place and the tail started to break off by the end of the day, so it is pretty fragile.
Personal Thoughts:
I love Mayushii! She kind of inspired me to put so much effort into making lots of great cosplays this year, so I'm glad that she was one of them. This was also probably the most comfortable cosplays I've ever made/worn, and the one with the best plushie!
