About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
I made the shirt from Butterick B4486 (B), muslin, and a couple of buttons I had lying around. I decided to deviate a little from the pattern and not put in the eyelets or the lacing.
The Bags of Holding are made using Butterick B5371 (F), faux suede, tan, I had leftover from making pants for my hubby for our wedding, and canvas.
I bought a Mistress Anne Fashion Corset, Dark Brown, from Steampunk Emporium when it was on clearance. The pants are from a thrift store. The Over the Knee Slouchy Boots, Brown, and Canvas belt, brown, are from Amazon. The "spell" globe is a pool toy from Meijer. The blue bottle is from a vendor at a convention.
The cloak was made using Simplicity 9887 (C), micro brushed brown twill, forest green sateen, and a Tivoli 2 1/4" clasp in Antique Silver from Fabric.com.
I made the Robe of the Archmagi from Simplicity 9887 (B), Essex - Linen/Cotton Blend 52" from Dharma Trading Co., and a Tivoli 2 1/4" clasp in Antique Silver from Fabric.com. - Personal Thoughts:
- This is based off of my first D&D character ever. She ended up at level 20, mostly in Wizard - she started with a few levels of Fighter for the battle skills. After our final battle, we each got a bunch of loot. Among her loot were a Robe of the Archmagi, white, and a Staff of the Magi.

- Styling Notes
- I used my steamer to get the back to lie flat and work the rest of the top up to get rid of the fauxhawk.
