Construction Details:

I patterned and created the entire costume from scratch in about a week. I decided to use the reverse (matte) side of a bottom weight stretch sateen for the whole costume to give it a nice clean look with a little bit of give to it for comfort and breathability. I added in pockets for storage of her pocketwatch. The collar was the hardest part to get right and I had to repattern it several times to get the shape the way I wanted it. I also put a lot of effort into finding and altering props for her. I altered a silver toned pocketwatch to have the tracker image inside, found some faux flowers to match the Vida, and meticulously searched through consignment shops until I found the right vintage suitcase as well as an oil lantern.

Personal Thoughts:

The moment I met the character of Mama Isabella I knew I would cosplay her. We had the same hair, same height, are only 1 year apart in age, we both have bore a child and are currently a mother. She's an incredibly interesting and complex villain that I adore!
