Construction Details:

For the bandages, I used thin tights underneath as a barrier to protect my skin. Hair popcorns are painted craft foam hot glued onto matching hair elastics. Sweater and white dress shirt altered from the thrift store. Tie and skirt are made from cotton twill with a custom-printed pattern. Skirt and bow are slightly altered versions of Simplicity 8160. Blue face makeup is Mehron Makeup Paradise in light blue.

Personal Thoughts:

It was nearly impossible to find Ai's exact type of plaid. I ended up ordering custom-printed cotton twill, but I wouldn't recommend using this type of fabric in the future. It didn't wrinkle, but it was really difficult to turn the fabric, and was so stiff that it hung really weirdly.

This was part of a Zombieland Saga group, which was an absolute blast! Got recognized by a lot more con-goers than we expected.

Styling Notes

Used a combination of sapphire blue, graphite, and royal purple. Total amount of liquid in the pot was 26.5 cups, which was more than enough to cover the Chronos wig. After the wig dried, I cut the wig using a lot of short layers to add more volume towards the top. Front section and mini Ahoge were secured with Got2B glued.

Wig Review

The wig looks very dark purple/blue in normal lighting, but the bright natural lighting gave it a mainly blue tint. Next time I need to make sure to check my test strip under multiple types of lighting!
