Construction Details:

Luna from the Sailor Moon S Movie. I wanted to do a few more sailor moon costumes other than Sailor Jupiter (whom i always predominatly cosplay) so I choose Luna because her hair is just WOW. For the dress I used yellow bridal satin and black chiffon tulle for the inner layer. The bodice pattern i barrowed from a Disney Princess Simplicity pattern and then hand drafted the skirt bit. For the wig I used two, the base is the dark purple black wig and then sacrificed a light purple wig to use as wefts that were sewn in. This was to get the wig to have sufficient body and volume. The buns are two separate faux buns that I bobby pinned in.
