Construction Details:

I modified a simple dress pattern, using black crushed panne for the bodice and shiny red and gold satin fabric for the collar and skirts. The star-shaped skirt is actually a separate skirt so as not to interfere with the zipper. I made it by cutting five equal sized pieces (sizing based on the waist measurement of the dress's skirt) and then sewing them together.

nThe wig was designed and styled by the cosplayer, although I assisted with sewing her craft foam tiara onto the wig. She also provided all accessories.

Personal Thoughts:

This was a fun costume to design because Omelette/Eggette only exists in Sonic Mania fanart, so there was no official art. In addition, I could not find any patterns anywhere for a star-shaped skirt, so I had to design that from scratch. All in all, this was a really enjoyable challenge!
