Construction Details:

I made this entire costume for Anime Expo and then altered it for a shoot after the convention! The skirt is a half circle skirt out of bridal satin, and a white lining layer with hand ruffled lace attached. The blouse is made out of a lightweight crepe fabric and was modeled after the Broadway Little Mermaid blouse. The corset is lined, boned, and has lace trim on the top and bottom and closes with a separating zipper. The bow is made out of a satin fabric and is definitely one of the nicest bows I've ever made. While the costume looks simple, there was absolutely a lot of labor and love put into it! There are still things I would alter for a third time before I wear it again, but I am very happy with how it looks!
