Construction Details:

I bought my uniform off Taobao but the tie that came with it was so bad I made new ones from scratch. They're satin with some soft non-fusible interfacing and the stripes are handsewn bias tape.

I did a few more things like shorten the hem on everything, secure the buttonholes with some

...(Read More) extra handstitches, as well as fix the fit on the sleeves, pants and white shirt, but overall they weren't awful, just way too big. The waist fit perfectly though, I'm always a little confused by the body shape Taobao cotumes are supposed to be made for!

The shoes and socks are store-bought.

The wig was a Caine from Arda with a pack of short wefts to make the rattail. I picked the color and decided to style it based on the anime rather than the musical for once because I like a softer, fluffier style rather than clear defined spikes. I used a couple of cheap pink rubber elastics from the dollar store for his weird hairtie.

I can't believe it took me so long to cosplay a Rikkai boy when they're my second favorite team...!
