Construction Details:

Since unfortunately most kimonos aren't made to fit someone who is 6 feet tall I had to make the kimono. (I used Folkwear pattern #113) The embroidery on it took forever. I think I was working on it up till the day of the convention. :) The nagoya obi, obi makura, obi age and obi jime, koshi himo....etc, etc were bought on Ebay and Ichiroya.com I think.

Personal Thoughts:

It was a lot of fun learning how to wear this. The dvd they sell from Rising Sun Imports was really helpful since I had a portable dvd player in my hotel room while I was getting dressed. It's kinda sad that everyone can't see all the layers and parts that go into getting dressed in a kimono.
