Construction Details:

The suit is made of grey and black moleskin spandex with a very elaborate mockup. The base is grey and I cut the black pieces and sewed on top. I skipped the weird bangle bands around the arms and legs bc I just didn't know how to accomplish them in time and I thought that the suit looked fine without them, so whatever. I ran out of time for accurate boot covers but I'm actually pretty fond of the boots I wore with it (black with grey panels in the same colors) so am forgoing them. The coat is just fur & a light lining. The sword is made from an insulation foam base, the cross guard is two broken chopsticks with balls of sculpey on the ends, and the guard is a 7-11 slurpee lid with foam strips adhered to it. The whole thing is covered in worbla and painted.

Personal Thoughts:

I put off making this for YEARS because of how complex it was, but I'm glad I finally made it and am proud of it! Mitsuru was my first ever cosplay in 2008 so it's awesome to see how far I've come in terms of wigs, makeup, and styling as well.
