Construction Details:

The dress consists of a slip, made from a sturdy matte pink satin, and the overdress is a navy blue georgette. The construction was crazy but resulted in a lot of draping, but it was based on a 1920s pattern from McCalls that was basically a giant rectangle and then took it in as I needed. Lots of winging it and fixing as I go involved. There's a panel of skin-toned mesh sewn between the dress and the first strap which I thought was to hold the strap in place initially (you can see it in close-ups of the costume), but I'm pretty sure it's to keep the dress from falling off your shoulders.< br/>

nThe coat, scarf, and wand are purchased from Elope. The wig I bought from an Amazon shop.

Personal Thoughts:

I wanted something vintagey and witchy for Halloween and this was the one! Queenie's design is really cute and appealing and #aesthetic. The construction itself was a little ridiculous but I'm glad I was able to make it and really happy with the result.
