Construction Details:

Drafted the top pattern from scratch--it wraps around and fastens at the shoulders just like the character render. Pants were drafted from a pair I already owned. Skirt was two widths of red chiffon gathered down. Belts were draped on my dress form once everything else was done.

All the armor was made from craft foam and children's floor mats. Ran into issues with painting since it got stormy and humid but nothing a little bit of sanding couldn't fix. The leg pieces have elastics in the back so that they slide on and stay snug.

I plan to remake almost all the armor over the winter as some of it is of... marginal durability, but considering I did this entire costume in just under two weeks it turned out not half bad. =w=

I LOVE FINAL FANTASY XIV AND I WANT TO MAKE EVERY OUTFIT EVER.
