About this Costume
Construction Details:
Costume was created for Heather Harris; based on the Ame-Comi line of toys from DC Direct. Besides the creation of the outfit, this costume required a bit of prosthetic make-up. I actually ended up using my face cast since client was not able to sit for a casting of her face for the sculptor. To make things a bit easier, we ended up spraying the spots on her legs onto a pair of pantyhose, which cut down on the time it took to get her into make-up. The paws were made from scratch; soft foam interior with fur that had the spots airbrushed on & leather scraps. Claws were all hand made from magic sculpt & sewn into the fingers. Her bodysuit was tea dyed & sewn onto another under suit to give her a smooth look. The vest & leggings were pleather that were aged & weathered. Chains were plastic to keep the weight down & spray painted. The animal skulls & wig were purchased. The hardest part actually ended up being the shoes; she had ordered a pair of Tabi boots, but they were too tight. We found a pair of wedge shoes & custom built the boots around her feet. Unfortunately the ears were MIA for the photos.
