Construction Details:

This outfit calls for a lot of technical skills, that I honestly haven't used in a long while! The notch-collar vest pattern was difficult to execute as they have this narrow plaid center front panels, that do not follow the princess seam line.

nAlso it's a overlapping double-breast vest, that zips close- BUT because the edges have bias tape, you can't disguise the overlapping zipper on the inside! All in all one of those designs that character designers create without being grounded in real construction methods haha

nAlso the belt on the vest.. it has no loops to hold it in place!! I solved this by top-stitching the upper edge directly onto the vest.

nI also was so happy with the skirt, and how fluffy it is! The dual tone red and pink panels edged with gold bias tape is so gorgeous!

nProps to NyuNyu for my bias tape and casted hearts, and Sparklepipsi for the boot covers and garters!!

Personal Thoughts:

I love this design so much, and was extremely eager to do an image color design! I love all the accessories, and details this costume has, but it also made it really tedious!
