Construction Details:

Date constructed: May-June.
Kurapika???s tabard was made with a textured blue satin and a gold twill contrast. Polyethylene foam, wire, and weather strips were used to create the raised piping in his tabard. The tabard was rigged to be taken off in one swift movement to replicate how he changes for battle in Hunter x Hunter (1999) by using velcro, snaps, and hooks and eyes. His fighting suit was constructed with linen and cotton for the green contrast. Both the green contrast and gold twill accents were appliqued on.

Personal Thoughts:

I loved making this costume and was very happy with the shape. I made it a challenging costume by quick rigging it to be torn off like Kurapika does in the fight between him and Uvo in Hunter x Hunter (1999).
