Construction Details:

The pants, pouches, gray undershirt, boots, and gloves were purchased by my boyfriend at Target/Amazon while the vest was done by me. I followed a Simplicity pattern (can't recall the number) and since I know my boyfriend tends to move a lot, I made sure to use a black stretch twill so it works with him seamlessly. I then used white, gray, and yellow cotton scraps for the detail work and it's all lined with some leftover satin lining so it slips on and off of him smoothly.

nThe arm piece was a doozy and it was done with the combined help of my boyfriend, myself and my friend Foxtorb (who has a lot more experience doing prop/armor work than the both of us). It was a three week process cutting out the pattern, then transferring said pattern on craft foam, and then using a heat gun to form the curvature needed to fit Shiro's Galra arm. My boyfriend did the priming and painting for his pieces since he has a background in painting and I helped out with sealing the pieces as well as adhering the arm bits when it was completed. I'm sure we'll do a rehash on the rm since it's taken a beating from ALA and Wondercon, but it turned out OK for my first go!

Personal Thoughts:

My boyfriend wanted to cosplay Shiro initially for Mickey's Halloween Haunt at Disneyland so a prototype version was launched then. However when ALA rolled around, we decided to tweak it up a bit more and now it looks not too shabby to say the least!
