Construction Details:

This costume is my pride and joy. The coat fabric is actually curtains that a friend found for me in goodwill!

the train is custom patterned and then the hounds tooth to crow transition is all hand painted. Each piece was cut out of freezer paper using an x-acto knife, ironed to the fabric and painted using Jacquard fabric paint.

I had the heels laying around from a previous costume, but I needed to add the cuffs to make them accurate. I couldnt find matching pleather but I was able to find a purse at the thrift store that matched pretty closely. I sacrificed the purse and cut it apart to make my shoe cuffs!
