Construction Details:

2mm neoprene for the leotard and vest, matte bridal satin for the skirt and collar, and cotton with organza overlay for the bows. The boot covers were made with 4-way stretch vinyl. The Super sleeves are organza lined with clear scrapbooking plastic for the shape.



The neoprene was surprisingly easy to work with, though it has less stretch than the cotton-spandex we used before. I'm getting over my hatred for satin in cosplay, and the matte satin really helped with that--it sews wonderfully, and looks fabulous in photos.



The glove rolls are the same matte satin cut on the bias for a little stretch, stitched over upholstery piping. The gloves themselves were the only thing I bought, and I don't like the texture of the fabric so I'll probably end up making new ones myself out of something more matte.

Personal Thoughts:

Decided to remake our Sailor Scout costumes, and went with the Super versions this time! We also ended up doing a bit of a hybrid between Crystal and the original anime, which ended up working really well.
