Construction Details:

I modeled and printed a lot of the accessories for this costume and made the files available on Thingiverse.com
nConstruction of this costume was pretty straightforward and I made everything myself except for the black gloves and the denim shirt which was modified from a huge shambray shirt from ebay.
nThe shoes were a lot of fun because I always wanted to try to make "boat shoes" since I usually shied away from the crazy KanColle shoes. They're just Worbla wrapped around stilettos and gesso'ed to hell and back.

Personal Thoughts:

hoooo boy where to start with this one.
nI thought it would be really fun to wear Iowa for Anime Expo as it fell on independence day.
nThe costume showed a bit more skin than I was comfortable with but it ended up being ok.
nI knew I was never going to be the best Iowa, so I decided to be meme-y instead.
