LAST MINUTE COSTUMES FOR THE WIN! Literally whipped this together in a day... After I realized I wouldn't have enough time to make Leliana in time for this convention, I decided to cosplay the Inquisitor instead. I patterned the jacket from a simplicity pattern for a cardigan (and was worried about fit, so added princess seams to the front but not the back since I wanted this to be a pullover). Turns out it was still super baggy so I'll need to go back and add darts to the back to give it a better fit. The front was supposed to have hooks & eyes for the collar so I could fit it on over my head but it's literally safety pinned together so I'll need to go back and add those at some point. The buttons are all craft foam sealed with mod podge; for the ones going down the front, I glued rose-shaped cabochons to each of them before spray painting everything silver. The ears are from Aradani Studios, and Jess2 did my vallaslin. The flower crown was made by a lovely friend! The pants are literally just jeans I picked up from Old Navy because I was officially DONE with pants after the Amidala debacle. I could not for the life of me find accurate buttons so I just grabbed some scrapbooking bling, spray painted it silver and glued those on to some bias tape; in the future I'll want to add grommets to the ends and some ribbon so they can tie onto my legs instead of being safety pinned...
- Personal Thoughts:
- Only person to cosplay @ Cards Against Dragon Age... AWKWARD! So thrilled with how my vallaslin turned out, halla mama for the win~
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- Whipped it out the bag, pinned bangs to the side and pulled the top bit back into a small ponytail.
- Wig Review
- This tangled a LOT straight out of the bag... ; A ;
