90+ hours of hand embroidery hahahahahahahahhaha
Skirt and bodice are made from taffeta. The skirt is gradient dyed to purple and fully lined. The bodice is boned and worn over a corset and finished with hand-made bias tape. The embroidery and beading on the bodice was all done by hand; 80%+ of the skirt is also hand-done (the flowers and some green sections were machine done due to running tf out of time).
My blouse is a stretch velvet with a back zip closure; the pattern was done in acrylic paint (and worked SURPRISINGLY well).
Cloak is satin for the shell, a paisley jaquard for the lining. I wanted something a bit more interesting than just plain purple, and the paisley gives it a regal feeling :) The drape and capelet are separable; the pieces snap together at the shoulder and the drape is held on by a harness. The applique on the hem was done with a poly shantung; the reverse side was used for half of the emblem to give light variance.
Shoes are yet to be finished, but sport the same bias binding as the bodice.
Crown is regular worbla with apoxie sculpt to fill in gaps, and painted with acrylics/spray paint. The cloak closure is solid apoxie sculpt around a resin gem. - Personal Thoughts:
- /sweats/ I worked on this over the course of 2 years (plus the frantic at-con embroidery panic)
Wig Details
- Wig Brand
- Wig is Fashion
- Wig Name
- Long Straight Lace Front Synthetic Hair Wig
- Original Color:
- White blonde
- Styling Time
- 4
- Wig Quality Rating
- 4 / 5.00
- Styling Notes
- Additional wefts were added to the temple area lace from another wig (which incidentally gave me have a white streak to match my Anna haha) and the bangs teased. The wig was put into a low offset ponytail and twisted into a bun and tied into place with ribbons.
- Wig Review
- Nicely thick in the back, could have used some more fiber in the lace.
