Construction Details:

Top is actually a leotard with separate white and red skirts. Skirt has 14 flounces, and the top has 4. Flounces are cotton and lace overlay, leotard is a knit fabric, and red skirt is a thin satin. White skirt is poplin. I used soft tulle to give the skirt a slight lift to enhance the silhouette.

Personal Thoughts:

So excited for Disney to finally have a Latina princess! I adore her dress, so I had to make it, naturally! I will probably make it more accurately later, I just wanted to play with the patterning of it all because I hadn't done flounces such as this before, so I learned a lot while doing it! I'm thinking I would love to redo the skirt and top with more accurately designed fabric from Spoonflower or the like!
