Construction Details:

Wig: Purchased a Serah Farron wig on Amazon, then slightly restyled it so that there were no locks of hair hanging off in the back. (Seems to be the only hairstyle difference between the two)





Dress: Used Simplicity 1655 for the top part of the dress, then used lots of tulle and black lining fabric for the bottom half. Belts/ribbons were made of ribbons and craft foam. Also attached silver charms made from Sculpey and acrylic paint to the dress.





Coat: Used Simplicity 2283 and modified it to the best of my ability. Glued a band of black feathers to the collar.





Wing: Wires, black acrylic paint, and sculpey. This stuff is not fun to wear at crowded cons. The back wing attaches/detaches via craft foam with snaps sewn on to the foam and the coat. The ankle wing is not, however.





Stockings: Used fabric paint and made a cross stencil to paint the design in. Also sewed the belts/ribbons into the stockings.

Glove: Bought a pair of arm-high lace gloves on Amazon, leaving the right glove alone/as it is while I use the left glove for this cosplay. For the blue feathery/petal-like bracelet around her left wrist, I bought blue feathers, and I stripped them. Then I glued the stripped parts onto a ribbon which fastens through a snap. (Not practical, but it does work?)

Personal Thoughts:

Lumina is my third cosplay. Despite how fragile parts of the cosplay are, I'm pretty proud how this one turned out. I probably won't be wearing this to the more crowded cons, but I don't plan on retiring this cosplay yet. She's still fun to cosplay as even though a few parts are a little fragile! It's just a matter of finding the right events to bring her to.<br /><br />
