Construction Details:

I studied how kimonos are made in advance, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make it as accurate as I hoped (but I learned a lot!) I drip-dyed the pink fabric to fade to blue, and flowers were hand painted at the bottom. The haori checkered parts were painted, because I didn't think to actually sew in squares at the time. I had a somewhat accurate obi underneath. I had a lot of fun making her headband which is made of up flowers in the manga version.
