Construction Details:

I made everything, from the wig right down to the boots, save for the earrings. I started with five yards of bridal satin, which was then cut after significant pattern modification and hand-ombre dyed with jacquard poly dye. I patterned the boots on a pair of white wedges and made them from the same satin and lining in the dress and bolero. The lace trim on the dress was hand-stitched on, and the snowflake on the back of the jacket is an applique that took a whopping nine hours. I cut the snowflake against tacky heat and bond, then ironed it onto the jacket and satin stitched my way painstakingly around the edges. It was worth the pain, I think. Underneath everything is a ten layer organza and tulle petticoat with ruffled ribbon at the bottom to help things look nice. All in all, I'd say I'm satisfied, but I can do better in the future. This cosplay was a great learning experience.

Styling Notes

The base is an Arda Derek with a long curly clip, both in silver. The bun is a felt tube stuffed with poly filling with wefts adhered to the outside and snaps sewn on the ends to keep it in place. The crown sits inside the bun and attaches with floral wire.
