Construction Details:

The muscle suit was a pain, but took about 2 days to finish. I wanted to make it look athletic, but not overly cartoonish. I actually first designed this pattern for the Charlotte Hornets mascot, Super Hugo and modified it to work for Caesar.
The stones are all resin-cast myself, the fabric was...(Read More) so weird to work with. I wanted it to have a light sheen (Caesar is always covered in a thin layer of soap to use his bubble ability, right?) so I found a weird matte lycra with a slight sheen and then lined it with rainbow tiger stripes. The black is also matte lycra. I placed all the metal studs by hand. (I took apart a belt for the pieces)
The headband was quilted, over 250 triangles. It is dupioni and confetti-dot glitter lycra. I had soooo much fun with the colors and textures Jojo offers.

Personal Thoughts:

Haven't done an official shoot, but I'm so glad Caesar is finished! I took Best in Show at Nihon Matsuri with him. Lots of blood, sweat, and tears, but I really like how it turned out.
