Construction Details:

Both the main dress and apron were made of cotton. The dress top was made with a pattern and the skirt was a circle skirt. I drafted the pattern for the apron. The shoes are flats that I had from middle school that I painted, and the straps are elastic bands that are slipped on my foot before putting the shoes on. The pink buttons are upholstery metal buttons that was covered with scrap pink cotton.

Personal Thoughts:

Joy is such a fun character to wear, I have so many good memories. It helps me remember that even though a costume might not be the best made or look as good as I wanted it can still be a blast to wear.
