About this Costume
- Construction Details:

Undershirt: Simple collared sleeve pattern with extra long turned over cuffs with black twill tape detail. Fun fact, it stops right under my boobs. I used McCalls M6613 and shirt weight cotton
nShirt: Based off McCalls M6991 (D)I modified it to have puff sleeves etc. The shirt is semi-stretch cotton sateen The color triangles are sewn into the front facing. The collar was an ass and never stayed flat. The epaulets were regular black sateen with gold vinyl applique.
nSkirt: Hands down the hardest part of this costume. The hip holes completely threw off the fit of the skirt and I redid it a bajillion times and I still hate it.
nSocks/shoe pants/tights
nThis was my favorite part of the costume. To start from the bottom, the boots were a super lucky Old Navy find after months of busts. I know the soles aren't accurate to her Kai but her NPC CG instead. The rest of the stocking got glued to these for a seamless and supportive leg look. The basic shape of the stocking was made from my trusty Kwik sew body suit pattern. I just drew and made seams where I wanted. The black stretch vinyl is theoretically supposed to hold up on its own but the ribbon inside it prevented it from doing so. The silk tassels are dyed with logwood for the gentle gradientMy absolute favorite part was the purple flower lace. It was designed with a combination of illustrator and Rhino and then laser cut onto polyester. It was sewn into the sock between the black vinyl and the flesh power mesh and was hand tacked to the flesh mesh for stability.
nShin guard: A few layers of craft foam gradient painted and tied to my leg with ribbon. - Personal Thoughts:
- Ooyodo has such a fun design! I loved the little details and her overall look. This one had a few interesting challenges but was still overall not an ordeal to make.
