Topstitching for daaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyssssss. Also armor. I guess.
Most of the work went into drafting the pattern for the coat and the various mock-ups it entailed because for some reason the FFXIV designers loooooove inserts upon inserts upon inserts and highly tailored asymmetrical clothing. The coat is almost entirely cotton twill that I already had laying around from other projects with the exception of the obviously pleather bits. All of the armor is craft foam covered in black worbla. There was a surprising amount of hand sewing involved; mostly as the coat had more and more added to it it was easier to hand stitch pieces on (like the sleeves) rather than try to wrestle it through my machine. Speaking of the sleeves, each one was six individual pieces, not including the cuffs and caps. Thanks, arbitrary seam lines.
The boots are a pair of boot covers over plain Walmart boots and the ears and tail are the same ones as my Miqo'te. Yay, recycling! - Personal Thoughts:
- I love FFXIV and I love Y'shtola.

- I cut bangs and added ears. Hooray!
