About this Costume
Construction Details:
Body Suit: I made the body suit based entirely off of a bra. I covered a bra in the fabric I was using for the rest of the suit (a stretch dance wear fabric from hancocks) The bottoms are patterned off of an old pair of underwear. The bra and the undies are connected by a back piece that is sewn to the back of the bra and snaps to the inside of the underwear. The front drapes are two rectangles hand sewn onto the bottom of the bra. I thread them through the snaps on the undies when worn. The gold at the top of the bra is 4 way stretch spandex.

Pants and arm warmers: the pants are made from black organza, as well as the arm warmers. I used a drawing made by the dangerous-ladies on tumblr for the pants pattern. These also snap into the inside of the underwear. The arm warmers are made using a mini 1/4 circle skirt pattern. They close with a hook and the top is finished with bias tape. The hand pieces are just small triangles sewn onto the bottom of the arm warmers and they stay down with a piece of elastic around the finger.

Socks: socks are just big tubes made out of the same fabric as the body suit.

Armor: the bracelets, arm bands, anklets, belt, and collar are all made from craft foam and Worbla. The neck piece was patterned by wrapping my neck in Saran Wrap and tape, drawing the pattern on that, and then cutting myself out. After everything was worbla'd and detailed, I primed with gesso and sanded everything smooth. It was spray painted with gold spray paint.
Personal Thoughts:
Took way too long to make and way too uncomfortable to wear to be honest.

Styling Notes
I straightened the front fibers first before braiding them so the hair would lay flat. Other than that, I just gently spiked the bangs.
