Construction Details:

Furisode: made without a pattern using fabric imported from Japan (from Ichiroya). I love the peonies on this fabric and the softness of the silk is to die for!

nNagajuban: bought from Ichiroya Kimon Flea Market

nObi: made from Upholstery fabric. It was difficult to figure out how to make all the stripes go on the bias and still look good.

nKimono Accessories (Obiage/Obijime/etc): All bought from Ichiroya

Personal Thoughts:

I LOVE SHIEMI AND THIS ENTIRE SHOW SO MUCH!! LOL!!
nIn all seriousness, I am always in love with characters that wear traditional Japanese clothing and Shiemi's wardrobe was fantastic. This was also a great chance to learn how to tie a different style of musubi (obi knot).

Bangs were trimmed. The ohage (antennae) were made with hair spray and large rollers.
