About this Costume

pieces of the costume bought from julian noise
the cape was mostly made but i had to replace the design on the back. i used metallic gold spandex and heat and bonded it. the body suit is made from mesh i bought at joann's. i made a back seam body suit pattern so there wouldn't be a seam up the front. it's attached to a bra i bought at target. the gold under the bust is sewn in. the belt is just attached to the outwear underwear. made of black spandex and gold spandex. the loin cloth was made by julian noise and matches the cape. all the gold bangles and the thing attached to the front of the skirt are made with eva foam covered in metallic gold spandex. i glued layers of eva foam vaguely shaped them with a razor blade then sanded them down. the gold spandex is stretched over the foam and hot glued to the back. the shoes were white pumps that i cut to shape and covered in gold spandex. the head piece is thin-ish eva foam covered in gold spandex, it attaches to the wig with wig clips glued to the back. whitney (twittles cosplay) is the real mvp when it came to making the neck brace. she reminded me to use tape to make a pattern and saved my life. i was doing it the dumbest possible way. but yeah, started by covering myself in masking tape and marking where i wanted the individual pieces. with some fanangling i transferred it to paper then made the whole thing out of gold marine vinyl. the pieces are contact cemented together and laces up the back.
wig:
venus from arda in dark purple. it was way way too long so i cut off the ends, about 6 inches or so, and used those fibers to make ponytails. they're hot glued back into the wig. it worked out well because i didn't lose any thickness from the wig to make the ponytails and i didn't have to deal with such a long wig. - Personal Thoughts:
- just, ughz lol
