Construction Details:

This costume ended up being kind of a disappointment to me because I rushed the armor and shortcut a lot of stuff for Katsucon and everything fell apart (and the con was terrible to top it off), so I kind of refused to look at it for a year. I dragged it back out and remade all the armor for Matsuricon 2017, and I'm honestly so pleased with it now. The new armor is beautiful and I'm happy wearing something that's actually complete.



The robes are all made of a slubby linen with suede accents and trim. All the tabbards are separate pieces so everything lays properly.



My bolt axe is expanding foam with a posterboard core, covered in paper mache, and detailed with apoxie sculpt. The gem on the end is acrylic ice and resin with white LEDs.



(New) armor is EVA foam (vambraces) and 3mm foamie with worbla (tarsals, chest piece). The tags on the cowl were sculpted and cast out of resin.

Styling Notes

Straightened the whole wig with a flat iron. Added additional wefts to the temples for the braids and removed some wefts from the fringe to thin out the amount of fiber there.
