Construction Details:

This costume is deceiving! It wasn't as simple as a sew as I thought it would be! I spent so much time designing this cosplay, drafting patterns, doing mockups, dyeing, bleaching and making sure that it was structurally fit to sit right when my open chest binding was in place. There is NO SHIRT, that it all skin! Luffy's shirt is held carefully in place with ALOT of Topstick so I don't flash anyone. In addition, there was alot of weathering that went into the costume to make it look like it had seen the sun and weather. Plus, 12 belt loops! Did you know that Luffy has 12 belt loops? And the boy doesn't even wear a belt...The hat was completely handmade and sewn for the costume and the shoes had to be altered and remade. Probably my favorite cosplay to derp around in!!
