Construction Details:

This has been a dream costume of mine for a very long time. I had been planning to make it for Katsucon 2016 for a whole year, and in the wake of David Bowie's passing, it seemed even more fitting.

The bodice and sleeves are layers of silver lame with satin stitched gold brocade designs, iridescent sheer, silver netting, tulle, patterned glitter organza, and mirror organza. All the beading was sewn by hand. The skirt is a cream cotton base with crinkled iridescent sheer and crinkled organza pleated over it. The necklace was hand beaded, and the hair ornaments are silver sprayed rose leaves, ribbon, and wire. The wig is a lace front that I styled and sprayed heavily.

I had a fun time making this costume a reality and I'm so pleased with the outcome!
